Brendon Kaleiʻāina Lee is a highly accomplished leader with an impressive record of achievements. As an At-Large Trustee, he established effective governance for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) and updated the by-laws for the first in 13 years. He introduced a new endowment investment model and worked diligently to rebalance the Native Hawaiian Trust portfolio. Additionally, he successfully orchestrated the Iwilei acquisition, demonstrating his strategic capabilities and commitment to achieving impactful results.

The ʻOhana
Brendon is the proud son of Benson and Toni Lee, raised in Pearl City, Oʻahu. He graduated from Kamehameha Schools in 1987 and had returned to serve as President of the Alumni Association and as a member of the Poʻokula Advisory Committee. A committed family man, he is married to Kimberly Gay and is the father of three, with two grandchildren.

Small Kid Time
His upbringing in Hawaiʻi provided him with a profound appreciation for his rich cultural heritage. His grandmother, Mary Lee, was one of the founding kupuna of Protect Kahoʻolawe, and she instilled in him the importance of safeguarding cultural traditions. During summers spent in Hoʻolehua on Molokaʻi, he observed the vital role of cultural preservation, which motivated him to engage more deeply in these efforts.

Through the Years
He is a highly experienced trained Parliamentarian and lifelong member of the Pearl Harbor Hawaiian Civic Club. He is dedicated to advocating for Native Hawaiian issues and is well-equipped to ensure that the voices of Native Hawaiians are heard. With his expertise in navigating complex political landscapes, he played a key role in advancing the cause of Native Hawaiian self-determination as Chairman of the 2016 Aha Native Hawaiian Governance Convention. He has served on the Pearl City Neighborhood Board and a Legislative Committee Clerk.
